Now, it boots, after I (blind-like) say okay to the dialog that comes up.
So I still think that the code could be changed, but its not vitally
important to me anymore.

I think Allen is right that there should be a different way of figuring out
32/24 bit mode.  That way I wouldn't have to say okay to that dialog
everytime I boot.

But of course, that's just my opinion, which I'm probably not entitled to.

The networking does work.  I have an internetted macbsd machine!! Whoopee!
