I recently purchased a Micronet Advantage 1000J which uses the iomega jaz
1GB mechanism and have installed MacBSD current as of April. It works...

When I ran mkfs from the MacOS I used the following settings:
        sector size: 512
        block size: 512
        bytes/sector: 512
        sectors/track: 40
        tracks/cylinder:512
        cylinders/group:5

As a side note, it would be nice if mkfs were able to continue setting up
filesystems after formatting a partition instead of quitting.

Also, finding the right size partition to create without havin a lot of
wasted blocks was a pain--I did it by trial and error, but even still, the
least wastage I could get to was 1MB of block unallocated. Is there a
better way to figure this out, and if so, can you get the number of
unallocated blocks down to even less than 1MB?

These are both rather minor points...

Does anyone know when the release date for 1.2 is?
