I followed all the INSTALL instructions.  Anyway, I used the `Build dev',
and it seemed to create everything OK.  Then, I tried to install the
packages, and got errors such as...

Choose file to unpack
bad checksum in tar header 486 0
Probably not a valid tar file.
Try using the mini-shell and cpin or cpout.
Finished extracting base11.tar.


I played around, but didn't accomplish anything...
