Dunno. But the problem is that the Booter passes over a superslot video 
address. So I took a look at the booter code. That code is damn old! 
Still uses Basic QuickDraw data structures. So I will rewrite the 
videocard part of the code. I will also add a feature that changes the 
bit depth to the required value (after asking the user if he wants to). 
This means that you can forget about changing the bit depth before 
starting NetBSD. I will tell you about the results - hopefully in a few days.

btw: Please tell me about the status of your work on the booter code, 
Brian...
