Forgive me, I haven't checked up on things in about a year now. I
had asked some time ago if there was support for the Performa 636. I
thought I'd ask if there is support yet, and if not how close things
are. Would anybody have any kind of test kernel or such that might boot?

I realize that the 636 has a LOT of things against it, namely the
IDE HD and the 68LC040 processor. But a friend told me he thought IDE
support was under way, and that he'd heard of some kernels with FPU
emulation. Would there happen to be one with all the features necessary
to run on a 636? If
so, where can I get it? If not, what parts are working, what parts
aren't, and how can I help... =)

    For the full info, my particular 636 is a 636CD, 8MB RAM, 2x CD-ROM,
with the Apple CS (Communications Slot) Ethernet Card (AAUI).

BTW, with Apple's seemingly increased openness and such, is there
any chance they will (or have) released the ADB specs and such that the
NetBSD group needed? (Yes, I've been out of touch... =)

    Thanks in advance.
                                                          Will Ferry
