The 32MB SIMM will help your machine in general, I'd imagine.  :-)

Not yet.  Hopefully in the relatively near future (months, not days).

It will not help NetBSD, but it shouldn't hurt it, either, as you should
be able to disable it.  At least, that is true of their m68k accelerators.

Well, you can download, configure, compile and install the gcc
distribution, but as Ken mentioned, that's the compiler that's
part of the main distribution, too.
