It is probably looking for a network.  Since you are out of the boot
sequence and multi-user by now, it should be possible to interrupt it with
a signal - hit ^C once or maybe twice, and see if that helps.

Once you get booting, or if you don't, the file to edit to stop timed is
/etc/netstart.  Makesure the line that sets timed_flags sets it to NO.

Make sure you use an editor that can do unix files, if you end up having to
edit it mac-side (you shouldn't have to)
