Have you tried a somewhat lower number, say... 23?  I know there's more
space on the monitor than that, but at least it's a pretty standard
number.  That would force everything up into the upper 2/3rd of the screen
or so, I believe.

Hope that does some good, or at least changes the results somewhat.
