I successfully installed NetBSD-1.1 A first from fto.iastate.edu and
then upgraded to the tarballs from ftp.eskimo.com (18.Jan.96).

I also installed X11R6, the version from
ftp://puma.bevd.blacksburg.va.us/pub/NetBSD/X/X.11Mar95.tgz

My machine is a  Performa 460 without FPU
                 12 M Ram;
                 IBM 170 Mega (can't boot NetBSD)
                 Quantum LPS 340 (boots fine, but only on SCSI adress 6
                                        same as with Amigas)

I use the "new" kernel ADBTEST #78 from ftp://ftp.microserve.com/popaccts/h/jpw.
The ADBTEST #77 kernel boots up into mulituser mode but you the keyboard
seems to be not read...

I use the ADBTEST #78 fixed some problems with df, newfs and even X11R6.

X11R6: I think I did the installation quite well, because I did it before
         on an AMIGA.

********The probleme I have after invoking startx.**********************

After executing startx, the screen becomes white but then on the last line
of the
screen I've got the message:

Screen 0 at 0xFF000000, 832 by 624, 104 rowBytes, 145752064 fbadddr.

and I have to reboot the machine....Someone knows how to fix that ?
