I just installed v1.1 of NetBSD on a IIsi last night. Worked just fine,
except for a few crashes during the installation of base11. It worked
the third time I tried (with no changes), and none of the other
installations had any problems (though I increased the installer's
memory partition to 2500).

My immediate question, prompted by excessive daydreaming after seeing
a UNIX shell prompt on my Mac screen... My heartfelt thanks to all
of those involved in the effort. Its just amazing. :)

Has anyone tried to use NetBSD on a Mac to do routing from a LAN over
a SLIP/PPP link? Has anyone been able to get a PPP implementation
running? I noticed another post about problems with pppd, but are there
any success stories?

Another question just occurred... I've heard that someone managed to
get an X11 version running on NetBSD... true? If so, I'd be interested
in the in more details (version, hardware, any difficulties?). I'm
thinking that X11R6 on my IIsi (9 Mb, FPU) is gonna be slow regardless. :/

TIA, and keep up the good work!
