I would be interested in the example xdm config. I am running xterm -C 
and I own /dev/console but I still get messages like "access control diabled"
and "sh: warning: runnins as root with dot in PATH" printed on my X desktop.
It doesn't seem like I had much luck with xconsole. Thanks.
