PRAM is Parameter RAM. It usually Holds the Date / Time and default
boot-disk settings.

The error you are getting seems to be that the PRAM is at a date earlier
than when you installed NetBSD. Is your date sometime around 1957? This is a
classic sympton of a run-down PRAM battery.

I would recommend replacing the battery, find the specs on til.apple.com,
with one from Radio-Shack or the like.

If it is not dead, try just setting the date correctly in MacOS and
rebooting.
