there is a machine that has an stupid mmu which requires 8K pagesizes.
there is another port with a standard mmu that changed the pagesize
to 8K to reduce pte/ste requirements (hope i got the reason right).

it is desirable that all m68k platforms be capable of running the same
binaries.
