1.) X11 has never been part of NetBSD installation images.
2.) "build.sh" only builds X11 if you use "-x" or "-V X11=yes".

That must have other reason. Can you please provide the exact command line
you use to invoke "build.sh" and the contents of your "/etc/mk.conf"?
