Yes, it is probably not supported by your motherboard. MPBIOS is an
obsolete standard which has been replaced by ACPI years ago. The last
Windows version which only supported MPBIOS and not ACPI was
Windows NT 4.0 which is obsolete, too.

None of the desktop motherboards with dual core support I've seen
provide MPBIOS. I would be very surprised if any modern server
motherboard still does.
