I've been very happy with ThinkPads.  I just replaced mine with a new Mac,
but I haven't actually put NetBSD on it yet -- the native Unix is "good
enough" most of the time.

I've been using a Mini with NetBSD, and last I checked, we still hadn't been
able to duplicate the dark and forbidden magics that let Linux drive the
audio and actually produce output.
