I wonder if you can try ahcisata(4) to match and see if it gonna fly.

sys/dev/pci/ahcisata_pci.c match routine checks for
PCI_SUBCLASS(pa->pa_class) == PCI_SUBCLASS_MASS_STORAGE_SATA, so
currently it doesn't match.  Make it check for this vendor/product
combo and match it if it's in raid mode.

Incidentally, just earlier today a friend asked me about Intel
82801GB/GR RAID SATA Controller (0x27c3) and the above was what I
suggested to him (he hasn't reported back yet).
