Now you tell me! ;-) (I just took the machine off the kitchen table
again :-)).

OK, I'll try it again later this evening maybe....

One more data point -- the attachment of pckbd0 et al looks completely
normal, with the kbd driver on IO ports 0x60-0x64 and IRQ#1. But I
guess that would only be "normal" for a non-ACPI machine....

On my Dell PE2650 (which has a working ACPI and a PS2 keyboard as well):

ioapic1: pin 9 attached to pci2 device 6 INT_B (type 0<type=3D0> flags pckb=
d0 at pckbc1 (kbd slot)
pckbc1: using irq 1 for kbd slot
wskbd0 at pckbd0 mux 1
wskbd0: connecting to wsdisplay0

However on the IBM eServer, also with working ACPI, there's no mention
of pckbd0 et al during boot up, just the magic kbdmux:

wsdisplay0 at vga1 kbdmux 1

That would require either mucking with the distrib/i386/cdroms stuff to
make a new custom CD, or else manual creation of a custom CD.
