Took a knoppix CD, booted it, and this is what I get:

So, Linux sees the card, and realizes what it is.  Any way to translate
this into NetBSD?

My hardware is a little Soekris Eng. net4801 card with a compact flash
card and a cardbus adapter card.
Would rather use NetBSD on this for speed and security if possible.

That's probably an easy thing to try.  Get a Linux Live CD -- perhaps
the Ubuntu installer, or a Knoppix disk -- plug in the card, and see
what it says and does.
