So what's this then? The Linux code provided by the manufacturer mumbles
something about 2.5, IIRC, but:

I got confused - I'm not very good at using 3rdparty-patched Linux
kernel code as hardware documentation - and forwarded one of the
cards to a former developer who offered to have a look if he got
access to hardware, but unfortunatly he didn't manage to get it
working before he left the project.

Intersil Igate 11m works fine, I'm using it to send off this message,
so the pcmcia adapter is ok in this machine...

I've used the card in a Jornada 820 with Windows CE, so I know the 
card is ok, too.
