The Core Duo is a mysterious beast, many (all?) the BIOSes they are
paired with don't claim SMP support like they should. FreeBSD's
src/sys/i386/i386/mp_machdep.c has an insightful clue in cpu_mp_start().

The wireless is in progress of being ported from OpenBSD.

Perhaps try an ACPI kernel? (for those wd0 interrupt issues)
