There is one thing that come into my mind.
I entered the bios at one point, that was maybe before the geometry change
happend, changed the date/time and saved it.
Now, I entered the bios again and found that 'ide raid' was enabled.
Disabling doesn't gave me the cylinders back, but could that be the reason
why the cylinders were gone?
