Yes, it's frustrating.  But the silence you get is mostly the sign that
few people know about the isapnp or mpu/midi code.  The fact that
mpu_isapnp.c doesn't set sc->model is the proof that probably nobody has
used such a device for a while (or never bothered to report the issue).

Your patch looks fine.  I'd rather have named constants instead of
comments for the change in dev/isa/sb.c;  just add the constants to
sbvar.h.

Also, s/it's/its/ otherwise the spelling bitches lurking in the shadows
will get angry :-)
