Hello

I=92m not sure if this is the right list to be posing this question to, =
but if
someone could point me in the right direction, I=92d be most grateful.

I=92m going to be starting the final year of my undergraduate BSc =
Computing
degree, and for my project, I would like to write a NetBSD device =
driver.
The driver I=92ve been wanting to write for ages is the driver for the =
PCMCIA
controller in the HP Omnibook 600c. Apparently the controller is HP
proprietary which might mean I have problems getting the technical spec =
for
it, and I=92ve also got very little C programming experience, which will =
mean
I have to stretch myself a bit. I also have to incorporate a research
problem, which I=92m not sure of yet, but I should be able to come up =
with
something appropriate.

I=92ve used NetBSD for a number of years, and added some code (with the =
help
of Manuel Bouyer) to get a network card working, so would like to =
improve my
programming skills and contribute to the NetBSD project.

Does anyone have any ideas on who I could contact for guidance on =
writing
this driver, or on info which could help get me started?

Many thanks,
=A0
