I did take a stab at fixing screenblank a long time ago, however I
pushed it down my priority list ( gave up) as it did seem that there
is no simple fix due to the way wscons works.

Perhaps an intrusive fix is really needed to get this functionality
going, as I have noticed that people request it again and again.
