Hello,

I just downloaded the i386 ISO for NetBSD 2.1, with the hope of
installing onto a Dell Optiplex GX520 I have here at work. The machine
is currently running Linux (Gentoo) fine, but I wanted to run NetBSD
again.

When booting, it freezes on the line: "wd0 at atabus1 drive 0" and the
cursor stays on that line, just after the 0. I let it sit for a few
minutes and it didn't seem like it was doing anything, so I tried
again.

I verified the ISO against the MD5 provided, and verified the actual
CD data from that also. I'm not sure what could be causing the problem
(the machine has an SATA hard drive, not parallel ATA, maybe that's
it?).

I noticed an email in the archives sent in September 2005 from Hubert
Feyrer-- "GX520 does not image. (fwd)". It looks to me like this is
the same problem.

I can provide more information on request, and I can try different CD
images or other things. This is my desktop machine at work so I can't
leave the machine in an unusable state for long periods of time.

Sincerely,
