Confirmed - adding
 	<dir>/usr/pkg/lib/X11/fonts</dir>
 	<dir>/usr/pkg/xorg/lib/X11/fonts</dir>

 	to /usr/pkg/emul/linux/etc/fonts/local.conf

 	fixes skype
