I am not a part of the pkgsrc mailing list. Hope you
don't mind this being here.

Here is the scenario:

The perl source is installed. Then 'pkg_install xpdf'
replaces some files with that of an older version
package. An update was done by running 'make;make
install' in the perl source directory, hence breaking
the pkgsrc install.

Is there a way of hooking the source package with the
database to show that a source install is present? How
do I indicate to pkgsrc that source packages for
certain packages are installed?
