This may be chipset-dependent.
I used to get the same behaviour with an Acer ehci on macppc, a while
ago things improved, now it will deadlock after transferring a few megs
( sometimes a few hundred megs but it will deadlock at some point )
while a NEC ehci in my iBook works perfectly. Both run -current.
