My machine is the PP 312/01x SBC from Concurrent
Technologies. It has a Pentium M and a Silicon Motion
SM722 graphic card, which has 8 MB memory and supports
up to 1280x1024 and 16 M colors. So I considered this
SBC as a regular PC desktop. The monitor is a Dell
LCD 1703FP with 31-80 kHz horizontal and 56-76 Hz
vertical scan, 1280x1024 at 60 Hz. I was able to
install RedHat on an identical system. I've also
checked the XF86Config file:

Section "Device"
   Identifier "Standard VGA"
   VendorName "Unknown"
   BoardName "Unknown"
   Driver "vga"
EndSection

Section "Device"
   Identifier "Silicon Motion SM722"
   Driver "siliconmotion"
EndSection

Section "Monitor"
   Identifier "Dell 1703FP"
   HorizSync 31-80
   VertRefresh 56-76
EndSection

Section "Screen"
   Identifier "Screen 1"
   Device "Silicon Motion SM722"
   Monitor "Dell 1703FP"
   DefaultDepth 24

   Subsection "Display"
      Depth 8
      Modes "1024x768" "1280x1024" "800x600"
      ViewPort 0 0
      Virtual 1600 1280
   EndSubsection
   Subsection "Display"
      Depth 16
      Modes "1024x768" "1280x1024" "800x600"
      ViewPort 0 0
      Virtual 1280 1024
   EndSubsection
   Subsection "Display"
      Depth 8
      Modes "1024x768" "1280x1024" "800x600" "640x480"
      ViewPort 0 0
      Virtual 1152 900
   EndSubsection

EndSection

I've looked at /var/log/XFree86.0.log and tried
different things, but still same result.

Thanks,

Sam
