I have found any number of mentions in the archive of problems with
vr0-driven ethernet devices, but I can't seem to find any definitive
help.

/var/log/messages fills up with

vr0: transmit aborted
vr0: restarting

This is on an integrated VIA device.   Is this gash hardware, or are
there settings I don't know about?
