Hi,

I'm tryin to setup an Acer Extensa 501DX laptop with NetBSD. I downloaded de NetBSD 2.0 installation CD. I had to use the bootable laptop floppy because the CDs kernel always rebooted the machine with the spinning pipe.

Now everything works but the pcmcia. In fact it doesn't recognice anything inserted I tried except for a USB2.0 PCMCIA card I have. I tried with a wifi BenQ card wich I use as wi0 in another NetBSD laptop with no problem and an Intel one that use as xi0 in the same other machine. So I need to complie a tweaked kernel to make a few tests. But every compiled kernel I do (including GENERIC and GENERIC_LAPTOP which is the one that is supossed to be running) reboots the laptop when the spinning pipe appears.

I'd appreciate if anyone can give me any hint in what is making my kernels reboot and/or why are the pcmcia cards not recogniced. I attach dmesg output.

Regards
