Hello,

I have a Compaq Presario R3000 Laptop. I have tried to install NetBSD
2.0 from a boot cd. The kernel seems to be bumping along fine and then
this error comes up:

kbc : cmd word write error

The kernel cheerfull goes on to initialize my pcmcia slots and then
hangs on the:

No plug and play componets found

I was able to install NetBSD 1.6 on this laptop, but never could get it
to work with the keyboard. (I messed with plugging a usb keyboard in
during the boot cycle and got a custom kernel compiled, but the keyboard
still wouldn't work.) Since it was so close to the time for 2.0 to come
out, I just waited and hoped for the best, but I fear that the keyboard
on this laptop is well and truly esoteric.

Help?

TIA,

Carrie Jones
