Hi,

gtk2 versions prior to 2.4.4 have security issues with them, so I gather the NetBSD team removed the binary packages that shipped with prior releases.  (The ISO image they shipped for 1.6.2/i386 with packages included 2.2.4 without the nb2 patch level, I just looked at it.)  So the way to get it is to build it using pkgsrc.
