Subject: Is this a kernel or bootblock issue? Both? Neither?

I'm trying to boot -current (src from yesterday) on a dual-pIII machine,
and the *same* kernel boots fine when I netboot, but when I boot
from HD, all I get is this:

>> NetBSD/i386 BIOS Boot, Revision 3.1
>> (riz@bottom, Tue May 4 23:04:26 PDT 2004)
>> Memory: 639/1047552 k
Press return to boot now, any other key for boot menu
booting hd0a:netbsd - starting in 0
6734984+148160+494172 [375200+338377]=0x7b933c

...and then it hangs.

This machine boots 2.0_BETA fine, and I've reinstalled the bootblocks and
verified that the same kernel (I copied it) boots fine from PXEboot.

I also installed bootblocks from 2.0_BETA, just in case, but it was the
same issue.

# cp /usr/mdec/boot /mnt
# umount /mnt
# installboot -v -o console=com0 -o speed=9600 /dev/wd0a /usr/mdec/bootxx_ffsv1
File system: /dev/wd0a
File system type: ffs (blocksize 8192, needswap 0)
Primary bootstrap: /usr/mdec/bootxx_ffsv1
Preserving 51 (0x33) bytes of the BPB

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,
+j
