Hi, I recently installed a 3C509 NIC in a computer running NetBSD 1.6.2_STABLE. The card is detected and it shows up in ifconfig.
$ ifconfig ep0 inet 192.168.1.10 netmask 0xffffff00
$ ifconfig ep0 up
$ ifconfig ep0
ep0: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
address: 00:60:8c:79:a2:dc
media: Ethernet 10baseT
inet 192.168.1.10 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
The led on the switch turns on indicating there's a link between the NIC and the switch, so I assume it's all ok.
This computer has other PCI NIC's and I can ping their IP address, but i can't ping ep0's IP address.
Peraphs I'm doing something wrong ?
Regards,
Rui Paulo
