Trying to install NetBSD on an Acer Aspire 1700
(Huge 7.5kg P4 'laptop'), and not having much luck.
Running -current from today, tried a standard INSTALL
kernel, and a custom one with acpi.
The built in sip interface gives:
sip0: device timeout
when configured by hand or dhclient.
The cbb is not configured:
cbb0: NOT USED because of unconfigured interrupt
Plugged in a usb 'uax' which was recognised, but attempting
to run dhclient on it paniced with:
uvm_fault(0xccbcc44c, 0, 0, 1) -> 0xe
kernel: page fault trap, code=0
Stopped in pid 1742.1 (ifconfig) at 0xc01ab5b4: cmpl %edi,0x24(%edx)
Thoughts definitely welcomed.
