Assuming you're talking about what is called pkgsrc in NetBSD, the
answer is ports.  It was developed by Jordan Hubbard of the FreeBSD
project.  My understanding is that the name clashed in NetBSD,
requiring a change of name.

Of course, if you're talking about what is called ports in NetBSD, the
answer is still ports :-)  That's why the FreeBSD port collection
required the name change.
