I don't think you can change the default boot option with newbtconf. In
fact, the man page says:

	If you wanted to make "nonet" the default configuration
	when booting, you would need delete the symbolic link
	/etc/etc.default and create a new symbolic link (with the
	same name) to /etc/etc.nonet.

... which is what Yasir did. The man page really should say "create a new
symbolic link to etc.nonet." (not /etc/etc.nonet). Or revision 1.6 of
bootconf.sh could be pulled up, it handles links to absolute paths too.
