With autri driver, I have the same problem. On solution, but not the best one, 
is to use the command below:

mixerctl -w outputs.master=0,255

This command will concentrate the audio on the right channel, and no echo is 
heard anymore. Of course this is not a good solution.

Another solution is to use -current kernel, which autri driver is fine. But I 
don't know if you are using the same driver I'm using.
