There's a CVS branch called "netbsd-1-6".  Various points on the branch
have tags like "netbsd-1-6-RELEASE" and "netbsd-1-6-PATCH001-RELEASE"
(for the NetBSD-1.6 and NetBSD-1.6.1 releases).

If you really want NetBSD-1.6.1 sources, then you can download
tar files, or you can check out the source tree from CVS with the
"-rnetbsd-1-6-PATCH001-RELEASE" option.

If you want the latest sources on the "netbsd-1-6" branch (which is
currently somewhere between the 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 releases), then check
out the source tree from CVS with the "-rnetbsd-1-6" option.
