I'd bin it myself. That is, unless you're able to repair surface
mount circuit boards (which most things seem to be these days). :)

I've an ethernet card that now reports having 30 phys after the
machine it was in suffered a power cut. When I tested it afterwards,
the phy chip was rather warm...
