Unfortunately, I've got one of those too. I don't particularly care
about the multimedia keys, but what bothers me is that the F Lock key
is turned off by default, so I have no F keys until I turn on F Lock. I
presume there is a rather simple xmodmap solution in X, but that doesn't
make much of a difference in console.
