I typed the following:
mixerctl -w inputs.mic.mute=on
mixerctl -w inputs.speaker.mute=on
mixerctl -w inputs.dac.mute=on

After I typed the third line, the static went away.  However, the static
sound is still there even though it is barely audible.  Again, the static
sound comes sometimes, not every time I turn on my laptop.
