I'm running vmware 2.? on 1.6.1. It generally works, though it didn't
work at all until I upped my machine to 512M of RAM. I've also had it
crash my system when committing changes (I use undoable disks); see the
thread from a few days ago about "lock-up during memory shortage". I
suspect, but can't prove, that it's tied to the unified buffer cache.
