I am using twm as a window manager.  Whenever I select "Exit" from the
menu to  exit X, and I come into the regular command prompt (I don't have
that xdm configured yet), this loud sharp beep comes up.  It's so loud
that it hurts my ears.  It continues until I type "exit."  This only
happens when I am logged in as ymalik (my user name).  When I do the same
thing as root, nothing happens.  Please help; my father was really angry
when he was awakened by the beep.
