With both 1.6 and 1.6.1 (1.5.3 worked fine), the distro of 
XFree86 does not work with my Riva 128 (Viper 330).  A download 
from the xfree86 website of 4.2 works perfectly with the same 
XF86Config file.

This comes just after the DDC Monitor info:
