I'm not too optimistic; I've heard about X servers locking up
the box with SMI Lynx chips also on linux.
However, it might be worth trying to get rid of the int10, vbe,
i2c and ddc modules, using whatever options appropriate for this
driver.
I've seen a DDC call messing up the i810 AGP aperture setting done
by the kernel once, so I wouldn't trust them much.
