Known issue, affects my Dell Latitude C600 and some others as well.

One of the interesting things this has highlighted is that the code
which emits the "buffer of zero length" warning still returns an
OK status, allowing the rest of the code to proceed to the crash.

I think it shouldn't.

Does anyone see this warning message on a system that otherwise
functions properly - ie, where the OK status might be reasonable?
