Yes, pretty sure. The machine had LILO in the MBR. Someone else
upgraded it to a newer red-hat, I went to power-cycle the box after a
reboot, and was suprised to see it coming up.  At the time I figured
the Compaq BIOS was failing to re-initialize some internal state,
or registers, or some such, on a warm boot.
